LAMB OF GOD Interviewed In Mexico City (Video)
February 9, 2011Search & Destroy conducted an interview with vocalist Randy Blythe and drummer Chris Adler of Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD when the band played Mexico City, Mexico on October 5, 2010. You can now watch the chat below.
In a recent interview with the San Antonio Metal Music Examiner, Adler stated about the status of the songwriting sessions for LAMB OF GOD's next album, "We got together and listened to a couple songs [Mark Morton, guitar] put together, a couple that Willie [Adler, guitar] put together. We mapped out structures and so forth. As soon as [my drum] clinic tour is done (March 16),we head into rehearsal, and we'll rip 'em apart and glue them onto the other ideas and try to come out with something better than 'Wrath'. The last time we left the studio after 'Wrath', we were all really happy. Normally, someone's complaining about something. So it's going to be fun trying (to top that). The stuff that I heard, I don't know if I can . . . it's not that I don't want to tell you. But from my listening to it, it's a little, guitar-wise, just a little less, hmmm . . . I don't know how to describe it. It's a little sounding like motorcycle gang music where it's mean and loud and heavier. But who's to say what's going to come out? That's from my perspective."
LAMB OF GOD last year released the "Hourglass" collection, a career-retrospective set that is available in seven different configurations.
LAMB OF GOD received a second Grammy Award nomination in the "Best Metal Performance" category — for the track "Set to Fail" from its latest album, "Wrath", which came out in 2009 on Epic Records.
The band was previously nominated in the "Best Metal Performance" category for the song "Redneck" from LAMB OF GOD's 2006 album "Sacrament".
"Wrath" landed at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart back in February 2009 with first-week sales of over 67,000 copies.
